Covid-19 Practices

As health and safety is still our ultimate goal, we at Zatara have adopted a new normal, to abide by Michigan's Executive Orders and to protect practitioners and clientele from the spread of COVID-19.

Here's what to expect during your visits with us! ⁣⁣

* We still require that you arrive by appointment only, and ask that there are no walk-ins.⁣⁣

* Do not come in if you are ill or have a family member in your home who is ill, please call to reschedule.⁣⁣

* We have added extra time between appointments to thoroughly deep clean and avoid overlapping appointments. ⁣⁣

* We will continue to regularly clean highly touched areas. ⁣⁣

Arrival to Session

When you arrive at Zatara, you will be asked to fill out a client intake form, if you did not complete one electronically prior to your appointment, to record any relevant medical history, injuries or physical conditions your practitioner should be aware of. We ask that you arrive approximately five to ten minutes early to complete the form and review your session goals and discuss the reasons for your visit to adjust your session specifically to your needs. Your massage is in a tranquil, private room. Your therapist will leave the room after consultation, leaving you to privately disrobe to your comfort level (male clients are required to wear a underwear) and relax, under linens, on the massage table before the bodywork begins. 

All massages and spa treatments have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience.

If late arrival is inevitable, your service(s) may be shortened in order to keep on schedule. The original treatment time will be charged. * Session times include disrobing. 

During Your Massage

Throughout the massage your body will be draped with sheets to maintain professionalism and privacy. It is very important to try to relax throughout your session in order to allow the effects of massage therapy to be felt. You can either receive a customized full-body massage or a treatment that focuses on specific parts of your body such as neck and back only. Please let your therapist know if you are ever uncomfortable at any time throughout your session, especially with the pressure being used or if you are too warm or too cold. Remember that this massage is for you and your therapist wants to provide the best treatment and experience for you.

After Your Massage

After your massage you should feel relaxed and experience less tension in your muscles. Your therapist will leave and wait outside the room for you to dress. Please remember to take your time while leaving the table as well as during the first few hours after your massage. When you are ready, you will meet your therapist at the front desk for check out. If you received a deep tissue massage you may feel some soreness in your muscles the next day or two. This is normal as your muscles are realigning and releasing built up toxins. Be sure to drink plenty of water to help your body detoxify and further remove toxins from your muscles and body. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your therapist.

There are times that massage is not beneficial and may provide more harm than good. Some of these times include when you are sick, have open sores/wounds, after undergoing surgery (must be approved by your doctor), flare up of immune system disorders or other times you are already stressing your lymphatic and immune systems. If you have any questions please consult your massage therapist before your session begins.


Existing & New Medical Conditions

It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the massage may be continued.

The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.


Guests & Children

At Zatara, our goal is to provide professional bodywork sessions to meet your needs. If you have a guest that needs to wait for you in the waiting area, we ask that they please respect the quiet nature of the facility and keep small talk to a minimum. 

Please note, children will only be allowed if they are receiving treatment. Our goal is to provide a relaxing retreat for everyone.

Refunds

We DO NOT offer refunds on services, gift cards or vouchers.

Select unopened retail products may be returned within 7 days of purchase date with receipt.


Misconduct

We will not tolerate lewd or sexual speech or references, strange or violent behavior, or harassment of employees or clients of Zatara Holistic Health and Healing. We reserve the right to refuse service for misconduct of any kind. If any physical misconduct is attempted then the local authorities will be contacted and statements and needed information will be given.


Cancellation Policy

We ask that you call at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment to cancel a scheduled appointment. The first "No Call" for an appointment will be forgiven, the second will require prepayment for services.
